Tues Goleta Birding

David Levasheff

Started the morning at Bela Vista early. No Fox Sparrows. Quick walk through east end of Evergreen OS did not turn up much either. Winchester Canyon was also pretty birdless. Bacarra turned up very little as well. Check of Coronado Drip also was lack luster. Returned to Bella vista after lunch and saw the Red Fox Sparrow and quick looks of the Slaty. LLC was also very birdless. A few Green-winged Teal.
Goleta Beach west was the best. The Buffleheads which arrived Friday/Saturday increased to 10, also had 10 Bonaparte's Gulls, a couple of Ring Billed Gulls and Herring Gulls, and one 1st winter Mew Gull. Plus a the usuals.
