This morning at the harbor

Peter Gaede and I spent an hour at the Santa Barbara Harbor breakwater this
morning. We were hoping to find the Red-necked Grebe seen recently by Mark
Bright, but no luck there. A consolation prize was a spiffy male Common
Goldeneye that flew in and spent a nervous couple of minutes with a flock of
Western and Clark's Grebes, before being spooked by a walker and flying out to
sea.

Other birds present included 3 Pelagic Cormorants and a Caspian Tern.
