- Comments: "Continuing bird on private property. Seen and identified during Carpinteria CBC. Red throat, crown, and pinkish nape patch. Long white stripe on primary wing is different from patterns on various web sites. Drilling neat rows of holes in an apple tree. Good view from 10 yards for 15 minutes."
