We thought it would be good to alert you now about some events that will occur just before or as our next newsletter comes out.  


Please make sure to read about the Strauss Wind Energy Project information below.

Program: The Condor in Captivity–Breeding a Species on the Edge
Presented by Teodelina Martelli – 2018 ABA Young Birder of the Year

 

Friday June 7 - 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM

Friday Bird Walk, Carpinteria Salt Marsh Nature Park

Leader: Peter Thompson

Target Birds:  Herons, Curlews, Ducks, Teal, Godwits, Gulls, Killdeer, & More

 

Saturday June 8 - 7:45 AM to 12:45 PM

Saturday Field Trip to Hollister Ranch -  RESERVATIONS REQUIRED ASAP

Leader: Guy Tingos.
Please reserve your spot with Rob Lindsay.

Target Birds:  Song birds, ocean and pond water fowl, raptors, and perhaps an owl or two

 

Strauss Wind Energy Project - Lompoc

Also, those who wish to know more about the Strauss Wind Energy Project in Lompoc can go to this link.  For questions or more information please contact Steve Ferry at (805) 967-5162.  Do not reply all to the entire group.  There will be a public meeting on May 30 at 6:00 PM in Lompoc City Council Chambers. Additionally, Santa Barbara County will accept public comments until June 7.
