Continuing Neotropic Cormorant

Dave Compton

The cormorant was roosting on the snag southwest of the north pullout at Devereux Slough mid-morning today, 29 June.

Also, several fledgling Beldging's Savannah Sparrows were begging and following adults near the north pullout, and there were three individuals singing around the lagoon. Based on the Breeding Bird Study data, it appears all the breeding activity recorded here so far this year has been around the southern part of the lagoon.
