More (or likely the same) Horned Larks

Hugh Ranson

John Callender reported 7 Horned Larks from Carpinteria this morning. At 11:40 7 Horned Larks flew in to Elings Park from the east. They lit briefly, and in that time I saw 3 clearly, one adult and two juvies. They were soon flushed by a mountain biker and flew east. Big numbers of bikers seem to have discovered the park recently, and any birds that feed on the dirt paths are constantly flushed.

There was an Ash-throated Flycatcher close to the park entrance.
