Blue Grosbeak at the Carpinteria Bluffs

John Callender

The last two Sundays (July 15 and July 8) I've taken a walk at the Carpinteria Bluffs, and on each occasion there has been a male Blue Grosbeak singing there. He's been in the flower fields behind Tee Time (the old Serena & Brown parcel), and in the weedy area south of the railroad tracks, near the seal rookery overlook.

I've spent a few minutes looking to see if there are any others, including females, but so far I've only seen the one male.
