Some nice birds at Atascadero Creek yesterday evening. I saw a Bobolink and a Brewer's Sparrow in the S curve about midway between Turnpike and Walnut on Atascadero Creek, just before sunset. This is in the area with no willows along the south bank of the creek, so you don't need boots. Exept for this one spot, it was pretty dead from Patterson nearly to Turnpike.
