Gaviota - White-crowned Sparrow
I walked out to the Gaviota fennel patch this morning. It is blooming nicely but no migrants found. I did find a White-crowned Sparrow on the way out which seemed out of place. I am still researching

This looks like an immature (nuttalli) white-crowned sparrow which breeds on the coast mostly north of Pt. Conception. The wintering sparrow here is another subspecies (Gambeli?) Phila Rogers

SB Birders,
I birded a couple of Florence’s stops today also, but a couple hours after her according to the register book at GSD. I missed the YCNH but, I did see some Night-Herons in the pine tree,

Area K seems much better in the morning. At 12:30pm there were no kingbirds and far fewer yellowlegs. The day before also had fewer birds at 12:30. I missed the Pec Sandpiper and Ibis on both days
