Hello All--A nice variety of birds at the Santa Maria River Esturary this
morning. Highlights for me was a Burrowing Owl, a Golden Eagle, and 18 Snow
Geese, at least two of which were Blue Morph.

Twice I have had people report a "strange bird" at the SB Harbor. It sounds
to me like a Yellow-headed Blackbird (possibly an immature), but it's

tree swallows and common goldeneyes at refuge
There were 2 Common Goldeneyes and 10 Tree Swallows this morning at
Andree Clark Refuge. The already reported 3 Greater Scaup, 1 Lesser
Scaup, 1 Hooded Merganser and 16 Wood Ducks were also there.
