Better day at Coronado

Robert Lindsay

Returned to the puddle at the end of Coronado at about the same hour as yesterday (1:30-2:30) but had a much more rewarding day. Had five warbler species this time including Yellow (1) and Nashville (2) not seen yesterday. Others were Wilson's, Orange-crowned, and Common Yellowthroat, several of each. Other good birds included Chestnut-backed Chickadee, Black-headed Grosbeak, and Western Tanager. Plenty of more common species as well: Plain Titmouse, Downy Woodpecker, Song Sparrow, Pacific-slope Flycatcher, California Towhee, Bushtit, and Scaly-breasted Munia. This spot definitely deserves attention in the days and weeks ahead.

That's all,
Rob Lindsay
