I did another leisurely troll around Lake Cachuma yesterday morning. No unusual birds spotted, other than an immature Bald Eagle. However there were a lot of Grebes, mostly Western with a few Clark's, out in the large open area between boat launch and the dam. There were dozens of pairs doing there "walk on water" dance. If you've got a good camera this could be a great time to catch em in the act. Small motor boats are for rent at the marina. Check Windy.com to make sure it's a calm day as it can get pretty windy on the lake. Yesterday was glass-calm gorgeous and a few fish actually cooperated as well.
