Devereux at Sunrise (Monday)

Benjamin Byerly

Devereux continues to host a nice complement of shorebirds. Early this morning here were 230 very vocal red-necked phalaropes (+ two Wilson's) feeding in the channel best viewed from the first turnout. Among them were also western sandpipers, Baird's sandpipers, red knots, dowitchers, and black-necked stilts. There were also three american avocets - all together. Not sure if this is two plus the one that has been around for several weeks or a entirely new crew.
