Northern Flicker (intergrade) (Colaptes auratus luteus x cafer) (1)
- Reported Apr 03, 2019 07:18 by Joey Negreann

- Checklist: https://ebird.org/view/checklist/S54541496
- Comments: "brown on face but somewhat restricted to the malar, lores and around the eye, with rest of face and crown grey (separating it from full YSFL), no noticeable red nape, but some darker coloration on nape. Perched with RSFL so good comparison of amount of red seen on shafts when perched on RSFL clear vs not visible red shafts on intergrade. In flight very pale yellowish underwing."

The second bird then flew across the trail in the direction of the first which then flew off.

Medium sized woodpeckers (slightly smaller then the neqrby Acorn Woodpeckers) with pink-red belly, white throat and back of neck, dark-greenish back, and dark red face. One bird appeared to have a slightly more drab back but that could've been light conditions."
