- Comments: "Foraging on the north shore of the lagoon west of the railroad tracks. At first I was thinking it was a Ruddy Turnstone based on what looked to me visually like a blackish mark on the side of the breast contrasting with a brownish wings and back, but in reviewing photos I see features (especially the face pattern and leg color) that look better for a breeding-plumage Black Turnstone. I'd appreciate input if people have opinions on the bird's ID."

- Comments: "Loosely associating with a Willet on the western shore of the lagoon. In flight I saw the white stripe down its back. At one point it gave the three-note “tututu” call just before it flew across to the north side of the lagoon."

- Comments: "This singing male was found by Dave Compton earlier today. From the apartment complex grounds we heard simultaneous songs of Orange-crowned Warbler and Northern Parula. At one point the two were chasing each other. It gave a typical song 'z-z-z-z-z-z-z-z-z-Zip' with a rapidly rising finale, from primarily Sycamore in the apartment complex. Brief visuals showed a grayish-headed bird with a yellow throat above a burnt orange and black breast band. Belly was white."

- Comments: "Heard it's typical rising, buzzy zzzzzzip! song from inside the apartment, then tracked it down in a tall sycamore in the complex, about 50 meters south of Foothill. It sang for a while longer, then quit before I could locate it visually."

- Comments: "Continuing. Arrived at first pullout, where saw small, brownish cormorant perched on a log next to a Double-crested Cormorant, exactly where it had been on my previous visit. Noting that the light was better, I went to get my camera, and the bird had flown, not to be refound again. Small, brownish cormorant, considerably shorter than the Double-crested Cormorant adjacent. Saw orange bill with no color in loral area, faint white "arrow" delineating the gular/bill area & pointing hindwards. Searched for it at bridge to nowhere pullout with no luck."
