- Comments: "mush smaller than the Double-Crested Cormorants, short beak, light in front, since his back was facing us at angle, it was not really possible to est the length of tail. the gular patch was not visible in the photos and we were unable to catch a clear view with the scope as most of the time was preening or head tucked."

- Comments: "Compact pale chunky small duck. Mostly all whitish below: white face and white belly from neck to vent with a tan necklace between. Slightly darker sandy brown/tan colored above. No white patches in the wings (rules out RB Merg and Bufflehead and goldeneye. Migrating with Large group of Brant (larger) and Red-breasted Mergansers (longer more loon shaped) for good size and shape comparison."

- Comments: "Grey hooded vireo with bright white spectacles. Grey helmet contrasted with green is-grey back. Buffy yellowish on flanks. Discounting plumbous b/c of the buffy flanks and wing/back contrast with head color. Discounting blue-headed b/c the “helmet” was not that boldly cut, it was more blurry. The spectacles were bold, not the throat lines. Also much more likely by range."

This was a striking duck with a purplish glossy head color and a prominent shaggy tuft of feathers extending off the back of the head. It had a black back with bright white sides and black at the rump and undertail coverts. The breast was black. It had a golden-yellow iris. The bill was gray-blue with a black nail at the tip of the bill. Photos"

- Comments: "Seen at close range. Greyish overall. Faint eyering, flattish-round crown. Bird repeatedly slowly dipping tail downwards. Not calling. Bill dark with lighter mandible (hard to see in shade). I have pics and video, which clearly show the tail dipping. Video file type apparently not supported but i am happy to supply it to anyone who is interested. Pic sequences show tail dip but eBird isn't displaying them in order. Also note that in my pics, underside of bird has yellowish-green cast from reflection from vegetation, this happens a lot with my camera and iI have not edited it out."
