Isla Vista migrants

I took a look along the swale at the Camino Corto Open Space mid-afternoon, and didn't expect to see much in the heat. I was, however, pleasantly surprised. There was a lot of bird activity, best being Cassin's Vireo, Yellow-breasted Chat, Hammond's Flycatcher, and lingering Ruby-crowned Kinglet and White-crowned Sparrow.

Best access for this line of trees is from Camino Corto, then follow the trees (largely willows and cottonwoods) towards the red barn.
