Looked for the bird starting at 7:30 a.m. this morning (Sunday)--Ron Hirst also looking.  No luck as of 9:00 a.m.  Other birders now looking.

Large flock of Lesser Goldfinches has invaded overnight (told they were not present yesterday) so there was lots of activity.  Birds of note:  a flock of four LAWRENCE'S GOLDFINCHES was in the fennel along the two-track path leading from the stone bench down to the paraglider parking lot.  It flew off to the southeast and was not seen again.  Also some returning fall birds:  1 Say's Phoebe, 1 Western Meadowlark, a large flock of White-crowned Sparrows near the Calle Montilla entrance, and with them at least three Golden-crowned Sparrows--a bit early for the latter.
