All,

Today 7 Wandering Tattlers and 11 Spotted Sandpipers continued at El Cap. The tattlers seem to be mostly using the extreme west end of the beach, which is best accessed by parking alongside the freeway about half way between Refugio and El Cap.

Yesterday, the Reddish Egret and 3 Least Terns continued at Ocean Beach Park. Shorebird numbers have dropped off here the last few days but will likely cycle back up with the next migration wave. The river mouth remains tidal and low tide is best for seeing shorebirds.

Friday evening, I had the continuing Elegant Tern flock on the beach at the mouth of Devereux slough, which contained a few Caspians and Royals and the continuing juv Least Tern.

Regards,
