Sat. a.m. birds

A lerps-infested euc grove at the County Education Office at 4400
Cathedral Oaks Road held a good-sized flock of birds, though almost
exclusively Yellow Rumps (they're baaaack). Also had a juvenile and
adult White-tailed Kite over the northeast end of the property.

We had a Clay-colored Sparrow and a Merlin near the ag field at the end
of Merida Rd. in Goleta, then ran into Joan Hardie at Lake Los
Carneros, who tipped us off to Bobolinks at the South Patterson Ave. ag
field (the one remaining) just south of Ekwill. Saw at least 5 there
feeding in the weedy areas along the road.
