Sedgewick Reserve (restricted access) - Prairie Falcon and more

The Sedgwick Reserve bird survey group amassed 61 species on the weekly survey on Wednesday, October 2. Migrant and Winter birds continue to reappear in the valleys and foothills as expected with some of the more interesting returnees found yesterday being Vesper Sparrow, Sora, Red-breasted Nuthatch, Western Meadowlark and a Prairie Falcon. Numbers of other birds such as Say's Phoebe and White-crowned continue to rise. Summer visitors getting scarce with only a single Violet-green Swallow making an appearance. The entire list here:
